Dynatrace Administrator
Job Description
The Dynatrace Monitoring Administrator will be responsible for delivering and supporting monitoring solutions for customer business applications and infrastructure. This position involves the creation, deployment and support of the application and system instrumentation that Silex uses to provide application performance monitoring to customers. This role will work with the customer and Silex architects to gather monitoring requirements from stakeholders and deliver solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical expert in observability, automation, and intelligence using the Dynatrace platform
- Provide hands-on, administrator support for Dynatrace
- Implement monitors, maintenance, configuration, integrity, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Architect, deploy, and manage Dynatrace and know differences between Dynatrace SaaS (offered as a service from Dynatrace) and Managed (installed version on premises)
- Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of OneAgent, ActiveGate, Real User Monitoring (RUM), and Agentless RUM
- Container, Cloud, and Virtual Machine monitoring via Dynatrace
- Utilize expert knowledge in Application Performance Management (APM) and Digital performance Management (DPM)
- Configuration of settings for monitoring, services, log analytics, anomaly detection, integration with 3rd party services, and general preferences
- Create dashboards and charts within the Dynatrace platform
- Utilize visualizations and data provided from Dynatrace to deliver application and infrastructure monitoring information to key stakeholders and other technical resources
- Capture user metrics and sessions via Real User Monitoring (RUM)
- Use Dynatrace monitoring data to provide insight into maintenance of infrastructure and application health
- Determine if processes are clearly communicating and identify which are consuming the most network resources
- Create different types of monitors and correctly interpret the data provided
- Utilize Dynatrace artificial intelligence to identify problems and root causes
- Lead architectural development and implementation of Dynatrace in monitoring applications, cloud and on-premises servers, and databases
- Analyze performance, establish baselines, and create alerts using Dynatrace
- Collaborate with staff in diagnosing and resolving issues, engaging other technical resources as needed to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Create and maintain reports, custom views, custom metrics, alerts, and dashboards to track application and infrastructure performance and health
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and wikis
- Conduct training and knowledge transfer for staff
